About this Talk

This talk will explore why women may be underrepresented among applicants to Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM) specialty training in the UK, focusing on whether barriers to pursuing SEM arise before specialty application.
Dr Angwin will explore what is already known regarding the topic, present the findings from the DETERMINE Study, and discuss these in relation to the current evidence. The talk will conclude with how the findings of the study can inform future practice.
