Lorna is a Client Director for SEMPRIS, the medical indemnity scheme that now covers more than half of the UK’s SEM specialist register. She handles the scheme’s most complex technical queries and works closely with its underwriters at Lloyd’s. She is also the anchor of the Talking Sports Medicine podcast.
Originally a linguist, Lorna qualified as a Risk Manager and worked in risk, crisis management, insurance and audit for the General Social Care Council (who registered social workers for the Department of Health at the time), sports, entertainment and media giant WME|IMG and disability charity Leonard Cheshire before joining the Health Partners Group.
She has two kids and a bonkers Aussie Doodle rescue. Her most bizarre enquiry to date involved insuring wing walking, performing elephants and walking backwards through tunnels for a credits sequence at Wembley.
