

Mr Ravi Badge is a Consultant Upper Limb Orthopaedic Surgeon in the NHS, UK, with over 23 years of experience following postgraduate training in Trauma and Orthopaedics. He specialises in upper limb surgery and in sports injuries. Alongside his clinical practice, Ravi has established an extensive portfolio of leadership roles across healthcare, academia, sport, and international business. He serves as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Edge Hill University and an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Liverpool. He is an examiner for the FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) examination and an AO Faculty member, contributing to the education and professional development of surgeons nationally and internationally.
A recognised leader in orthopaedics and sports medicine, Ravi is Treasurer of the British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma and Arthroscopy Association (BOSTAA) and the National Sports Secretary of the British International Doctors' Association (BIDA). He also holds a Diploma in Sports Medicine from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and a Level 5 Advanced Trauma and Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF) qualification awarded by the FA. He played a vital role during the Paris 2024 Olympics Games as an Orthopaedic Expert based at Olympic Village.
Beyond medicine, Mr Badge has developed a strong reputation for building strategic partnerships between healthcare, academia, government, sport, and industry. He has advised organisations on international collaboration, investment opportunities, innovation, sports medicine, and healthcare transformation, working with universities, sporting bodies and governments. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and delivered invited lectures at numerous national and international conferences. His research interests include sports medicine, innovation, and healthcare transformation. Through his work, he remains committed to improving patient care, advancing education, fostering international collaboration, and supporting organisations that aspire to create meaningful and lasting impact.
