Dr Linda Evans is a Sport and Exercise Medicine Resident Doctor and GP based in Leeds. She has been a member of the BASEM Conference Organising Committee for the past three years, initially chairing the Physical Activity Stream before pioneering the Female Athlete Health Stream in 2025. This year she takes on the role of Conference Co-Chair alongside Professor Dane Vishnubala.

Alongside her specialist training, Linda continues to work as a GP and is currently Team Doctor for the Great Britain Senior Women's Basketball Team and Lead Doctor for England Volleyball. Her experience spans a wide range of sports, including football, rugby league, judo, athletics, and both track and road cycling. She has worked at numerous major sporting events, including as Venue Medical Manager at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, Team England Legacy Doctor at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, Race Doctor at the 2019 UCI Road World Championships and Team Doctor for the GB & NI team at the 2026 European Athletics U18 Championships.

Dr Evans has a particular interest in female athlete health, having completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Women's Health in Sport. She is passionate about helping female athletes achieve their full potential through evidence-based, athlete-centred care. As Deputy Chair of Women in Sport and Exercise Medicine, she supports the development of women working within the specialty. She is also a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Leeds, where she supervises research projects focused on women's health, physical activity and sport.
