About this Talk

Prior to skeletal maturation, the adolescent hip joint and pelvic apophyses are highly mechanosensitive to sporting load, creating adaptations that influence both assessment and diagnosis.
With a particular focus on the pelvic apophyses, this session will highlight which sites are more susceptible to avulsion injuries and the priorities within rehabilitation. Discover why understanding biological maturity – not simply chronological age – is key to recognising, assessing and managing the young athlete with hip and groin pain
