Mr Sanjay Anand has a clinical practice devoted to sports knee surgery and works with many sports professionals and clubs across football, rugby, cricket and other sports. He has a particular interest in ligament reconstruction and patellofemoral problems, in particular fat pad impingement, patellar tendinopathy and patellofemoral instability.

Sanjay works closely with Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM) colleagues and physiotherapists, looking after both amateur and professional athletes. His research interests are in patellar tendinopathy and patella alta, as well as female Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstruction and the use of stem cells in cartilage regeneration.

Mr Anand holds an honorary Senior Lecturer post at the University of Manchester, with his research published. and presented nationally and internationally.
