Dr Robin Chatterjee is a Consultant in Musculoskeletal, Sport and Exercise Medicine. He has a particular interest in bone, muscle and joint pain of unknown cause, where he explores the role of sleep, hormones, diet, nutrition, stress and mental wellbeing as contributing factors.

He trained in Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Medicine at various prestigious institutions, including Charing Cross Hospital, Queen Mary University of London, the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital. Now based at The London Clinic in London’s Harley Street Health District, he is widely recognised as a leading clinician in complex musculoskeletal problems, symptoms of unknown cause and non-surgical regenerative treatments.

Prior to his career as a specialist, Robin worked as a qualified GP and in anaesthetics and intensive care medicine for a number of years. He has also had the privilege of working as a frontline doctor during terrorist attacks, including one occasion where he acted as a correspondent for the BBC during a terror attack in Thailand.

Dr Chatterjee is the immediate past Secretary General of BASEM, a previous Associate Editor of the BJSM, and the editor and main author of SBAs in Musculoskeletal, Sport and Exercise Medicine (Oxford University Press, first edition, November 2021).
